Our mission is to contribute to the national programme of providing trained Pharmaceutical manpower through structured programmes like B.Pharm, M.Pharm, and Ph.D with Professional education and effective competency to undertake the task of meeting professional and social needs in Pharmaceutical education and research.

Immediate Goals
To implement semester System at U G level from the year 2009-10.Designing of curriculum for UG and PG Courses. As per AICTE norms Publication of calendar of events and conduct of classes, examinations and all other activities strictly as per the calendar.Review of academic programmes from time to time.Starting and conducting new academic programmes in thrust areas.

Short Term Goals
Emphasis on foreign collaborations in select areas, tie-ups with Indian and Foreign institutions.Strengthening of linkages with AICTE, ICMR, PCI and DST for research and extension programmes.Continuing education programmes for teaching and non teaching staff members.Organization of staff development programmes, national and international events.

Long Term Goals
State of the art and ultramodern facilities at the college comparable to any well reputed international institutions, 100% computer enabled student friendly facilitation centre. Facility for teleconferencing on education& research Establishment of eco-friendly clean environment with excellent water and energy management .Introduction of interdisciplinary teaching programmes Academic auditing and validation of research programmes ,Strengthening of institution administration to make it transparent, responsive and accountable,Academic, administrative and financial autonomy to allow departments to initiate self financing programmes .Encouragement for national & International seminars, workshops, refresher courses for faculty and students Strengthening of alumni association with the involvement of distinguished alumni in academic and structural development of the institution. About Us

KLE College of Pharmacy, Belgaum (Estd. in 1968)

The Society’s College of Pharmacy began in 1968, within splendidly verdant 110 acre campus with a Diploma Course followed by a Degree Program in 1975, Postgraduate Program in 1988 and a Doctoral program in 2000. The undergraduate program is accredited by NBA. The college is recognized by AICTE as a Quality Improvement Centre to admit students under QIP program. Quality improvement program workshops are conducted for teachers of Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra and other states and the college has gained a reputation for its academic excellence and rated as one of the best, amongst top 25 Pharmacy colleges of India. The college has collaborations with Rhodes University, South Africa and Goa College of Pharmacy, Goa for faculty and student exchange program.

The institute receives grants from AICTE, ICMR, CSIR and VGST. All the courses are recognized and approved by Pharmacy Council of India and AICTE, New Delhi.The college has experienced and highly qualified faculty, of which 60% faculty members are with Ph.D. qualification. The college has excellent infrastructure facilities like UV spectrophotometer HPLC, UFLC, high speed ultra centrifuge, FTIR, Nanotrac, DSC and AAS etc. the college is developing Bioinformatics division, Molecular biology laboratory of international standards.

KLE College of Pharmacy, Hubli (Estd. in1985)

This institute has the distinction of being the first of its kind in the Hubli-Dharwad region and formally commenced its courses in 1985. This college, a delight for students has every infrastructure and facility to offer the finest of education in Pharmacy. The college has also been accredited by NBA, AICTE, New Delhi and the courses are recognized by Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.

In keeping with contemporary requirements, the college boasts of well-equipped laboratories, an extensively stocked library, spacious lecture halls etc. A separate hostel facility for boys and girls, a bank, canteen, vast playgrounds, cyber cafes, bus services and other conveniences make life stress-free for students. An accomplished faculty that is regularly kept abreast of developments in the discipline ensures that students are prepared for challenging careers, anywhere in the world.

KLE College of Pharmacy, Bangalore (Estd. in 1976)

The College of Pharmacy, Bangalore was the first private institution in Bangalore to offer a professional Diploma course in Pharmacy in 1976. And the credit goes to the KLE Society for also starting the Pharmacy Degree course in1992. The college has been accredited by NBA, AICTE, New Delhi and has a tremendously bright future with the Principal and faculty possessing a rich legacy of experience. The track record of the college has been consistent and the alumni have found good opportunities in a variety of assignments both in India and abroad.The very location of the college in the international city of Bangalore having several world class Pharma-industries is an additional advantage for the college to excel and offer unique industry experience to all the students.

All the courses run by the institution are recognized by Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

The campus offers a fine environment for the students and has every facility including a well-stocked library, internet facilities and adequate lab rooms. Separate hostels for boys and girls, bus transport and banking facilities make life easy on campus. Regular exchange programs with foreign universities keep the academic standards always high.

Eligibility

B.Pharm

  • Passed 10+2 exam with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the mathematics/ Computer Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Biology/Technical vocational/ PC & electronics Subjects.
  • Obtained at least 45% marks in the above subjects together.
  • Lateral entry in 2nd year B. Pharm: D. Pharm candidates passed from an PCI approved institution with at least 50% marks.
  • 5% relaxation in Minimum eligibility criteria for candidates belonging to reserved category.

Pharm.D.
A pass in any of the following examinations –

  • 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Mathematics or Biology.
  • A pass in D.Pharm course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.

Pharm.D (Post Baccalaureate)
A pass in B.Pharm from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act: Provided that there shall be reservation of seats for the students belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other Backward Classes in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Government/State Government/Union Territory Administration as the case may be from time to time.

M.Pharm Courses

  • Master of Pharmacy (M Pharm) is a post-graduate academic degree in the field of pharmacy.
  • M Pharm course is offered as post graduate course after completion of B Pharma degree.The M Pharm course is usually of two years duration. The curriculum focuses on specialisation in the field of pharmacy.The MPharma courses are offered by pharmacy colleges leading to entry into the pharmacy profession.
