In today’s world which is full of conflicts and tensions, it is the music which is playing a significant role towards inner peace and harmony, transgressing man made frontiers and carrying the message of peace and brotherhood. Music is also known to be a great healer and has direct and indirect influence on physical and mental health of an individual. Of late music therapy is being used as an adjunct to medical line of therapy.All different forms of Indian classical music (Ragas) are believed to affect various “Chakras” (Energy centres) in the path of the Kundalini.In the modern corporate world the significance of music in relieving stress and fatigue, besides making value addition to one’s personality development cannot be overemphasized.
