Presently working as Professor in the Department of Community Medicine, J N Medical College, Belagavi. After basic education in Hubballi, completed MBBS and MD in Community Medicine from J. N. Medical College, Belagavi. Secured 2^nd rank to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru for examination of MD Community Medicine in the year 2004. In the year 2011, received Ph. D from KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research, Belagavi. Recipient of Best Teacher Award from KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research for the year 2007. Teaching and NAAC / IQAC work experience of 23 years and 10 years respectively.

Actively involved in promotion of Women’s and Child Health through guest lectures, radio talks and also member of Perinatal Health Education Project, Adolescent Health Project and ICHAP / KSAPS for HIV / AIDS. Forty five publications in International and National journals and guided more than 20 under and post graduate students research projects. Executive member for Indian Association of Public Health (Karnataka State Chapter) and Life member of Indian Association of Community Medicine, Indian Association of Public Health and Karnataka Association of Community Medicine.
