KAHER (KLE University) ORGANISES SEVEN DAYS’

N.S.S. NATIONAL INTEGRATION CAMP AT KLE JNMC CAMPUS, BELAGAVI

The NSS Cell of KAHER (KLE Deemed University), Belagavi in collaboration with the State NSS Cell, Department of Youth Empowerment & Sports, Government of Karnataka & the NSS Regional Directorate, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India have organized Seven Days’ NSS National Integration Camp at KLE Centenary Convention Centre, KAHER’s JNMC Campus, Belagavi from 17th to 23rd January 2023. The inaugural function of the same was held on Tuesday, 17th January 2023. 150 NSS student volunteers and   NSS Program Officers from five states viz. Assam, Bihar, Maharashtra, Tamilnadu and Karnataka are participating in this seven days’ NSS National Integration Camp at Belagavi.  This Camp is organized on the eve of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava  (75th Year of India’s Independence).

Mrs. Mangala Suresh Angadi, Member of Parliament, Belagavi was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the National Integration Camp.  Speaking on the occasion, she said the NSS volunteers should actively participate in such camps for the upliftment of villages and rural community.

Dr. Nitin M. Gangane, Hon. Vice-Chancellor, KAHER presided and addressed the audience.  Speaking on the occasion, he stressed that the students should learn about sustainable development and implement the same in their institutions and adopted areas. He also called upon the students to adopt simple lifestyle.

Dr. N.S.Mahantashetti, Principal, J.N.Medical College, Belagavi stressed on adopting NSS moto ‘Not me But You’ and learn about self-social service through such camps for the cause of humanity and national development.

Dr. V. A. Kothiwale, Registrar, KAHER welcomed the audience and Dr. Ashwini Narasannavar, NSS Programme Coordinator, KAHER introduced the Guests. Mrs. Namrata  Devulkar, NSS Program Officer, KLE Institute of Nursing Sciences proposed vote of thanks.  Mr. Amey Khande anchored the program.

The Principals, Vice-Principals, NSS Student volunteers of KAHER and its constituent units including KAHER Officials and NSS Program Officers attended the Inaugural function. The program concluded with singing of national anthem.
