KLE DEEMED UNIVERSITY SIGNS JOINT MOU

 FOR TRANSLATION RESEARCH ON HEALTH, FOOD AND NUTRITION

The KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research,  Deemed-to-be-University, Belagavi, as a part of Academia-Industry Collaboration, signed a joint MoU with M/s. B.G.Chitale Group, Sangli and M/s. Shivashakti Sugars Limited, Soundatti, Belagavi.

As per the MoU, the industries will now have the opportunity to observe the relevant procedures, undertake scientific research studies, etc. in order to boost immunization, food and nutrition for healthy life, etc.

The MoU was signed by Dr.V.A.Kothiwale, Registrar on behalf of KAHER,   Shri Vishwas Chitale, CEO on behalf of Chitale Group and Shri G.Krishnan, COO on behalf of M/s. Shivashakti Sugars Limited. Padma Shree Dr.Madan Godbole was instrumental in conceptualizing the idea of collaborative work in this field.

Dr. Prabhakar Kore, Chancellor and Chairman, KLE Society has expressed that this MoU will provide an excellent platform for our faculty and scientists to enhance research capability mainly in the field of health, food, nutrition and immunization for the benefit of infants and community at large. The KAHER faculty members will help industrial houses to carry out randomized control trials of health related products formulated by these companies and the  KLE will soon establish a bio-incubator for helping the start-ups.

Dr. Vivek A.Saoji, Hon. Vice-Chancellor expressed that this MOU helps us to synergise our efforts to share and promote innovations in the food and nutrition aspects for the benefit of community at large, particularly the infants.

Dr. N.S.Mahantashetti, Principal, JNMC, Belagavi, Dr.V.D.Patil, Director,  Padma Shree Dr. Madan Godbole, Distinguished Professor, teams from the collaborating companies, Dr. Roopa Bellad, Professor of Paediatrics, CA S.M.Jotawar, Finance Officer,  Dr.Mubashir Angolkar, Professor, Shri Yuvaraj Basarimarad, Assistant Registrar were present during the signing of MoU and Dr. Pramod J.Hurakadle, Professor co-ordinated the signing of MoU.
